1. Which of the holidays that you celebrate, do you feel is the most important?
Probably Christmas and Easter, since they are important to my religious beliefs, with the birth, death and rising of Christ. They are also good times to renew ties with family we don’t see every day, too.

2. Which holiday do you most enjoy?
Christmas! I enjoy getting together with family, eating special food, going to church, getting presents, although, I enjoy seeing what everyone else gets, too.

3. Is there one holiday that your family tries to get together every year? If so, which one?
Christmas! We always make sure we get together for that one!  The other ones it isn’t quite as critical.  We have traveled enough to share holidays, that sometimes it is nice to just stay home.

4. Share one special memory from a past holiday.
Christmas meals at my SIL’s house!  Yummy.  From the appetizers to dessert, everything is so yummy and always the same.  Appetizers: Cheese, sausage and crackers, veggies and dip, chips and dip, chips and salsa, and little hotdogs in barbeque sauce:  Supper: Ham sandwiches, or just ham, cheesy potatoes, green bean casserole, mashed sweet potatoes, my red-green jello, and a frozen cranberry-pineapple-cool whip concoction.  Dessert:  Cookies of course with peanut blossoms, chocolate with powdered sugar, toffee squares, and cut-out cookies.

5. Name one holiday coming up, that you’re really looking forward to, and why.
Christmas!  We have lasagna on Christmas Even and an eggbake of some sort, for Christmas morning!  I also love going to church on Christmas Eve.  There is something so special about singing Silent Night, in a dark church, only illuminated by candles!

About Dawn

I like to play the piano, read, knit, and play with my dog. I'm looking forward to warmer temperatures and flowers blooming, since spring is on the way!

Hi Dawn. I love Christmas too because it’s a wonderful time to bond with family and close friends. I also enjoy the food. *wink* Our family always prepares a small feast every Christmas because the extended family spends quality time together. I love the spirit of giving and sharing.

Wow, I love the food you just elaborated. I think I’m hungry after reading that yummy list. Maybe I’ll take a short break and grab a bite. :)
