Monday was nasty. Tuesday was still cold, but a little bit better. Today, we made it up into the teens, so while the sun was up, it wasn’t quite so bad, although, as soon as the sun started setting, the temp started dropping and I had to bundle up more, to go out with the dog. Now, it’s 4 degrees, with a windchill of -4. So, it’s cold enough, but not as wicked as the last few days. Next week it’s supposed to get into the 20′s. That will be a little bit more humane! How many weeks until spring?
The kids all had school today. They ended up missing school on Monday and Tuesday! They have never had 2 days in a row of weather-related closings! It was good for Emily, since she has a nasty cold. I took her to the doctor yesterday and he said she has a viral bronchitis. 2 free days off from school didn’t hurt her at all. I was comtemplating keeping her home already. She is happy that she missed school, but still has perfect attendance and doesn’t have to make up missed gym classes, since school was closed anyway.
Today, at school, we kept the kids inside for recess. It was just too cold for kids and for lunchladies! We were all glad we didn’t have to go outside.
You’re a stronger person than me for living in the cold. I get cold when it gets in the 40′s, LOL!
