The new KAL started today and it took me hardly anytime to knit the first 9 rows and I was still in a mood to knit, so we went to Michael’s and got some yarn, and an extra set of #7 needles, so I could try the ballband pattern!  It seems like nearly everyone has made at least one, except me!  LOL!  I was having a hard time reading the pattern and figuring out how the bricks show up, with mortar inbetween.  Well, I know how it all goes together now and it knits up fast!  I started about 9:30pm and got this far, by midnight!  The colors are so bright!  It’s sort of Green Bay Packer-colored, for this cheesehead! 

The girls and I were all doing something with yarn tonight.  Emily was trying to figure out a pattern for a string bag and Sarah was practicing crochet stitches.  I think I’m ready for bed now, though.

I finally got the mid-July KAL cloth photographed.  I was a little late, getting it finished, because we were on vacation!  The pattern is called, “Bamboozled”, since it looks like bamboo stalks!  I used stitch markers to mark off the three repeats of the pattern.  That made it so easy to keep the columns lined up.  The yarn is Sugar N Cream Pretty Pastels Ombre and was knit up with #7 needles.  I love the “W” pattern that the ombre yarn made!

 Also, I love the moss-stitch that makes the area between the columns.  It adds a wonderful texture to the dishcloth!

I got tagged the other day!   I’m supposed to list 6 weird things about me!  LOL!

1. I don’t like hot humid weather and it’s what we’ve got right now.  I do have to go outside, to water my flowers and let the dog go potty, but otherwise, I just want to stay inside my cool house!

2. I LOVE Chai Lattes!

3. I’d love to own a Vera Bradley tote, in the new blue color, but the retiring Nantucket Navy is $11 cheaper.  Choices!!!!

4. I love living by the Great Lakes (even if it gets hot and humid in the summer!)

5. I love to travel, and wish I could do it more often!  It gives me little slideshows in my head, to distract me, when I’m at the dentist!

6. I love to read Sophie Kinsella books, but I’ve read everyone that she’s written!  Argh!
