I’m knitting a hat, for a Mexican orphan. A gal in my knitting group on Thursday nights is going to Mexico in January and had requested hand-knit hats. I decided to make a baby hat. I have to make 4 12-row repeats, before I can start working on the crown of the hat. I have 2 repeats, plus 1 row, done now. I feel like I’m making good progress. It’s a Garter Lace Diamond pattern, and being knit with Rowan cotton yarn.
Here’s Day #1 of the mid-October KAL. It was rather fun. I see that I have some purls where some knit stitches should probably be, but I just realized it now and I think I’m just going to leave it. I think their might have been an error in the pattern. I’m not going to worry about it. I’m using Sugar n Cream Violet stripes, which I got from Janet, because our Hobby Lobby only carried the stripes for a very short while and I never bought any, when it was there, thinking I could buy some eventually. Sheesh. It was there and gone before I knew it! I love how it looks!

I like the pattern of the hat, I’m eager to see it finished. Very cute!
Sugar n’ Cream *stripes*? How did I miss this and why don’t I have a truckload of it? I lurve the violet stripes — Awesome!!!
